Damn him for doing it so well and damn me for liking it so much. Don’t get me wrong, I’ve always enjoyed Mr. Mrazs’ work, ever since I was first introduced to it during my high school english class – Kati if you’re reading this thank you for telling Mr. Yost about him, who in turn played his music multiple times in class for us. I’ve just heard this song for the first time; I’m at home on a Saturday night when I should be out with friends – in reality we’re all to busy to actually hang out with each other – or working on homework. I’m avoiding homework. Instead I’m writing this post that probably shouldn’t be written until Tuesday night or sometime Wednesday. I know myself well enough to know that I’m going to keep listening to this song, on repeat, until something else calls to me. It’s because I’m a romantic at heart. I don’t like to admit that. I’m not sure why though. But the romantic in me adores this song. I think it’s the novelty of it all really. Who doesn’t want to believe that everything will work out in the end, that people really do stick through the tough stuff it instead of giving up so easily – something that is hard to see these days. I’ve also always been a sucker for the acoustic. Thanks Jason for giving me a song to play on repeat while I sip my wine and avoid my homework.
